Why Learn Words Without Vowels?
Getting stuck with a rack full of consonants is one of the most frustrating situations in Scrabble. Knowing the vowel-less words can turn a losing position into a scoring opportunity. These words are particularly valuable because most players don't know them.

Notice that Y is not considered a vowel in Scrabble dictionary terms. Words like "CRY", "DRY", "FLY", "FRY", "GYM", "HYP", "PLY", "PRY", "SKY", "SLY", "SPY", "STY", "TRY", and "WHY" use Y as a vowel sound but are not listed here since they technically contain no standard vowels.
